THE SCRIPT SHEET
Five beats - hook, tension, value, payoff, ask - drawn as bands, and the bands are sized by how much you should write in each rather than by how long the section runs.
· The hook is one ruled line and nothing more. A box that holds a paragraph gets a paragraph, and a hook that runs to a paragraph is not a hook
· The payoff is the deepest band on the sheet, because it is the part they stayed for and the part that gets under-written
· On the pocket-sized edition the bands are re-cut rather than squeezed, so the payoff is still visibly the deepest
WHAT IS NOT PRINTED
· No seconds. No best length, no posting time, no aspect ratio, no character limit, no follower or view count
· No platform is named and no logo is drawn, so nothing here goes stale the day one is renamed
· The destination column on the repurposing grid is ruled and empty, because the list is yours
The beats have outlasted every platform that has come and gone. The timings have not, and a printed number that disagrees with the one on your screen is worse than an empty box.
